- It's been some months since the 2.3.1. release, but finally here's a 2.3.2.
- I am sorry for the delay. It started off because I moved from NZ to California
- for a new job with Apple and continued through things like my falling very
- sick, having to move to a new apartment, having to fight a new compiler
- (SC++8) etc etc. However 2.3.2 should fix the bugs I know of in 2.3.1.
- I would particularly like to apologize to people who have sent me email.
- I simply have not looked at my email for about ten weeks. very soon my life
- should be in control again, enough so that I can start to work through all
- the mail I have and deal with it.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- Just a few points:
-
- ÑÑÑ
- !!! If you write to me PLEASE give me a decent address I can reply to.
- !!! About 10% of the e-mail I receive has a bogus return address---I try
- !!! to reply to you and a few hours or days later I get a message from the
- !!! mail system that my mail could not be delivered.
- !!! This is very frustrating to me and a waste of your and my time.
- !!! I have NEVER just ignored mail sent to me about Sparkle. If I don't
- !!! reply to you, it's because you sent me mail with a garbage return address.
- !!! Check out your mail system and write to me again when it works properly.

- Ñ This software is free.
- Ñ The README 2nd file contains a number of details about the program.
- Please look there for an answer before sending me a question. Its silly
- for you to have to wait a few days and for me to have to waste time
- answering when the answer is already there.
- Ñ If you have a bug report, or think I really need to add a feature,
- please mail me. In the past various people have complained about bugs
- with posts to Usenet groups or electronic magazines. This may make you
- feel better, but it won't fixing the problem. Mailing me with the problem
- may well get it fixed in a day or two.
- Ñ The details of encoding MPEGs are not obvious if you don't understand
- how MPEGs work. For now, I have a complex dialog box you must fill in.
- If you don't understand it, use the defaults it suggests, or read the
- relevant section in the README 2nd file.
- Ñ If you don't like the quality of the MPEG display, go to the
- Preferences menu under the Edit menu and change the settings. To see
- what the various settings do, look in the README 2nd file.
- Ñ I hope you like my program.
